Fort De Soto County Park, a sprawling area offering many activities and natural palm aesthetic. Taking up the most southern barrier island of Pinellas County.
The park's North Beach is often ranked among the best USA beaches. With soft white sand, clear waters for swimming, and excellent shelling. Plentiful facilities include picnic shelters, restrooms, and a snack bar.
Other activities are kayaking, and fishing from two piers. The park features a 2-1/4-mile canoe trail, a 7-mile multi-use trail for biking or rollerblading. And it's a birdwatcher's delight.
There's a Well-Maintained Tent & RV Campground. Many sites with waterfront views.
